I’m Giovanni, I’m forty seven and I live in Varedo, a (when you mention something for the 1st time, it’s “a” not “the”) small town (a “city” is big) in the province of Monza Brianza. I’m working as (“as”means “in function of”) a seller for a (again, you mentioned “big company”for the 1st time) big company that produces Conveyor Belts and I’ve been studying English since 2015 (more or less).
2. What is the best method to learn English?
Student’s answer – not corrected, with errors. Level intermediate, native language Italian.
I think that the best method is: at first, to write the frases on the homework book (at left in Italian languages, at right in English languages). The second part is: to record the frases (from Italian to English) on the mobile phone, and during the day listening at last for one times (all the word!!!). At the moment I listen and repeat the word for one hour a day (also during the run in the morning).

I think that the best method is: at first, to write phrases/ sentences in the homework notebook (on the left in Italian, on the right in English). The second part is: to record yourself pronouncing phrases/ sentences (from Italian to English) on the mobile phone, and during the day listen to each word at least (“at last” means “finally”) once. At the moment I listen and repeat one/the same word for one hour a day (also when I go running in the morning).

I think that the teacher is very, very, very important for the student. If you start to study and in front of you there’s the teacher that stay in the classroom only for receive the salary in the and of the month…you have a big problem! The excellent teacher must be a lot of passion by teach, not lost never the smile, whait also one or two minutes the answer of your student…whit calm end no anxiety.

I think that a (we are not talking about one specific teacher so no “the”) teacher is very, very, very important for a student. If you start to study and in front of you there’s a teacher who stays in the classroom only to (“to” means “for this reason“, “for” means “this is it’s general utitily, function”) receive the salary in the end of the month…you have a big problem! An excellent teacher must have a lot of passion for teaching, never lose their smile, wait sometimes even one or two minutes for their student’s answer (students sometimes need time to elaborate the answer to a question in a foreign language)…with calmness and no anxiety.
4. What is the worst method to study English?

Often listen the teacher say: “If you wont to do practice in English, you must listen the dialogues on internet, like TED, on TED.com”. In my opinion this advice is worst!!!…or better, depends of the livel. For me is better to listen the CD in your car, in your house, on the mobile phone when you have a few minutes and if I don’t catch the singolar word, I can read the part of the pagine and translate correctly the frase.

We often hear teachers (teachers in general, not “the” one particular teacher) say: “If you want to practise English, you must listen to conversations on the internet, like TED, on TED.com”. In my opinion this advice is the worst!!!…or better, depends on the level (of your English). For me it’s better to listen to a CD in your car, in your house, on the mobile phone when you have a few minutes and if I can’t catch a particular word, I can read the script and translate the phrase correctly.
