“Crouch”: use in context explanation
The woman is woken up in the middle of the night by some noise coming from the kitchen. She goes and checks what’s going on and finds her husband crouching and trying to get something from the fridge. The man couldn’t sleep so he thought a can of beer could help him. He didn’t want his wife to find out about it, he wanted it to be a secret. When the woman catches him in the act, she is really mad and expects him to explain to her what he’s doing and why he’s doing it.
